Privacy Policy

1 Who we are
The Orders is sold by Alexa Hampton Inc., 400 East 59th Street, Apt 10CDE, New York, NY 10022. This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from theorders.alexahampton.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies only to that site. The main Alexa Hampton website and shop are covered by their own terms.

2 The short version
We take the same approach to your information that we take to everything else: only what is needed, done properly.
- We collect only what is needed to fulfil an order, answer an inquiry, or keep the site working.
- There are no accounts to create and no passwords to remember.
- Your payment card is handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our systems.
- We use no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, and no social-media pixels. One cookie remembers your cart; that is all.
- We send email only about your order or your inquiry. There is no newsletter and no marketing list.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Ever.
3 What we collect, and why
When you browse
Our hosting provider records the usual technical details of each visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when. We use this to keep the site secure, to limit abusive traffic, and to diagnose faults. These logs are kept briefly and are not used to build a profile of you.
If you add a tablet to your cart, we store the cart on our server and set one cookie in your browser containing a random reference to it. The cookie holds no personal information; it is simply how we recognize your cart when you return. It expires after 30 days.
When you buy
Checkout is provided by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, and your payment details, on pages it hosts and secures. Your card number, expiry and security code go directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored by us.
Once your payment is successful, Stripe tells us the order has been paid and passes us your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses and the items you bought. We keep that as your order record so we can make the tablets, ship them, send you your order emails, and answer any question about the order later.
When you inquire
The inquiry form asks for your name, email address, country, the reason for your inquiry and your message. We use these only to reply.
When you email yourself a cart
You can ask us to email you a copy of your cart. We use your email address only to send it. The email contains a link that restores the cart; the link works for 30 days and is then discarded.
5 How we use your information
- To make and deliver what you ordered, and to send you the order confirmation, dispatch notice with tracking, and any refund notice.
- To answer your inquiry.
- To protect the site and other customers: detecting fraud, limiting abusive traffic, and responding to payment disputes.
- To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or advertising.
6 Email
Every email we send is about something you did: an order you placed, a cart you asked us to send, or an inquiry you made. We do not operate a newsletter and do not send marketing email. Order emails are part of the service you bought, so they cannot be unsubscribed from separately; if you would prefer not to receive them, please write to us and we will make a note on your order.
8 How we protect it
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Card data is handled solely by Stripe. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders. Our providers are established companies with independently audited security programs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise, but we take reasonable and proportionate care.
9 Your choices and rights
You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to inquiries@alexahampton.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify that the request comes from you, and we may have to keep some information where the law requires it — an order record for tax purposes, for example — in which case we will tell you.
California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it (this policy tells you), to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any of these rights, write to us as above. You may authorise someone else to act for you; we will ask for proof of that authority.
Other states
Residents of other states with privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon — have similar rights of access, correction and deletion. We extend the same treatment to everyone, regardless of where they live.
10 Where your information is held
Our systems and our service providers are in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11 Changes to this policy
We will post any change here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
